Autumn Wreath and Watch

Why is it that I never have anything to post, and then 2 days later I have a thousand things to say? It must be the unspoken blog law?! So today, I have 2 things I would like to post:

#1-I made an Autumn Wreath.! I got the idea off Make It And Love It. It turned out super cute. Plus, it cost under $7.00!

I have tons of leaves left over, so if anyone has any ideas what to do with them, let me know! Or, if you want some to make your own wreath or craft, let me know and I'll give you some! I seriously have a lot left.

#2-The real reason I am posting today. I am one of those lucky people and have great in-laws. I am truly blessed because of the family I married into. They are always so supportive of our decisions and love my family unconditionally. My mother-in-law must have known I was in dire need of some 'me time' and invited me to her enrichment night. And even nicer than that, she bought me the supplies to make a watch. And then even nicer than that, she watched Tayden! I was in heaven...until my baby started to turn into a little monster. Poor Cheryl! Lately, Taydens mood is as unpredictable as the weather in Pocatello. Happy as can be one minute and ticked off the next. I felt so bad. He didn't even want Grandpa Packard, which was a huge shock because he loves his grandpa! So, as I was rushing to finish my watch, Cheryl was taking over my cranky baby. A true manifest of love for her daughter-in-law and grandson. I had a horrible time concentrating and had to restring my watch about 4 times. I was so frustrated. After all the re- dos, I loved my final outcome. It is so cute! Here is a picture:

Oh, wait. I forgot to tell the rest of the story! Shortly after we left the church, Scott had to run to his grandparents. I was showing his grandma my new watch that I loved so much when Tayden decided he wanted to see it too. I was on the other side of the room, which meant Tayden had to crawl over to get it. His Great Grandma Packard was so excited to see Tayden crawl and I was having a bit of a proud mother moment, so I continued to hold out my watch to coax him to keep coming. Before I knew it he was climbing up my leg. Well, this happens fairly often at home, so I didn't think twice about it. Next thing I know, Tayden grabbed my beautiful watch and yanked hard. It shattered everywhere! Ah, my heart broke a little bit too. After all that hard work and my mom-in-law watching Tayden the Terror, my watch was gone. Fortunately, I got plenty of practice making it at the church, and it is going to be a fairly easy fix. I guess those are the joys of motherhood.

I just wanted to say thank you to my awesome mother-in-law for the wonderful night. Sorry it wasn't a wonderful night for you and that Tayden was a poop, but I appreciate it more than you know! You are always so great to us and always willing to give me a break from Tayden, even when he is not the most fun to be around. He is lucky to have a grandma like you. And a quick shout out to my dad-in-law. Thanks for giving me a break and letting me eat. Five minutes of sanity is worth thousand dollars! I used to be worried that when Tayden was a stink, people would quit loving him and not want to be with him, but I never have to worry about that with you guys! Thanks Dave and Cheryl. We love you!

P.S-I know I said I had 2 things to post, but I had to show everyone this picture. (Sorry, its not that great. Its from my phone.)

My son is into absolutely everything, nothing is safe. I was in the kitchen and Tayden had crawled to the front room. No big deal. I walked in 30 seconds later, and this is what I found. He had gotten into the newspaper. The picture doesn't do it justice. Regardless of all the craziness, I live for this little moments. I love being a mom.

Crawling and Coupons!

Tayden has become increasingly mobile over the past few days. He had been scooting around for quite awhile, and then Saturday night he started crawling! Once he got the hang of it, he caught on quick. He was starting to get pretty frustrated not being able to move, but now that he is on the go he is happier than ever.

I still cannot believe that our little boy will be 8 months in a few short days. It seems like yesterday I was carrying him in my belly and now he is almost to heavy to carry in my arms. This stage by far has been my favorite. He is developing quite the little personality. He has the funniest sense of humor and is usually very pleased with himself. Occasionally he will get up on all hands and feet (stinkbug style), look around and just laugh. He thinks it is hilarious. Tayden is also catching on very quickly and is interacting as we play. I love the fact that I can actually play with him and he plays back. Its the best. Along with a personality, he has quite the temper. If I take anything away from him, he throws a fit. Literally. He will arch his back and scream. Its fairly comical. I am hoping this goes away as he learns to communicate. If not, we are in trouble.

Here are some pictures of our perfect little guy:

Tayden crawling around. I love those big blue eyes!

Finally, a smile on camera.

An awesome picture of his teeth. He has 5 (almost 6) teeth. 3 on top and 2 on bottom. Hes got a nice gap on top, but I love it. It gives that much more personality and I think its adorable! Never mind my shoe. He likes to chew on it...gross, I know!

And just a quick side note, I haven't had a super great couponing experience in a few weeks, at least none that were good enough to post on my blog. Well, tonight I finally have one that I feel is worthy enough to post.

11 bags of Lifesaver Mints
1 Box Hot Pockets
4 Boxes of Nabisco Cookies

All for a grand total of $5.26. Not to bad considering the cookies alone are around $3-$4 not on sale. Plus I saved $32.18!!! Not to shabby.

3 Years!!!

Three years ago today (Sept. 15th. It is posting the 14th, because I wrote the post last night), I married the love of my life. I will never forget how excited I was the morning of our wedding. I was waiting at the hotel for Scott to pick me up. I was so nervous and thought for sure I was going to vomit. Then, there was a knock at the door, my prince had arrived. The minute I saw him, my heart was at ease and my life was complete. In that moment, I knew everything was right in the world. There is a safety I feel in Scotts presence, that makes everything okay. He is my one and only.

I am proud to say, that over the past three years I still feel for him the way I did 3 short years ago. I take that back, its stronger. My love for him runs deeper than I thought was ever possible. I never knew love until I met him. He is wonderful person, that puts up with my craziness. He laughs at my jokes, even when they aren't funny. He keeps me grounded. He cuddles with me at night...even if it is only touching toes. He makes me happy, like the inside happy that never goes away. I trust him with all my heart and can't imagine life without him. We just fit.

I contemplated about what to write about for our anniversary post. I was going to recap the past few years...but really who wants to read that besides me? I was going to write about my favorite moments in our marriage, but there are too many to name. I was going to just say...."Happy Anniversary Dear! I love you"...but that doesn't cut it. I looked through some pictures I have on my computer, and decided to share some with you of the past few years. Whats the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words"?...it just doesn't take as long to read. I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane as much as I did. (sorry the pictures are big again. I stole them from facebook.)

Scott and I dressing up at Cabelas. His favorite store on earth!

Driving back from a trip to Payette, that is where Scott is from. A long drive...you might say we were a little bored.

Brownie mix, peanut better and Scott just don't get along! And for anyone who is wondering...I totally won that battle!

Easter day, before he left to North Carolina!

Playing pool at my grandmas. And for those that are wondering, I won again. Just kidding... Scott won, as always!
On top of the Conference Center in SLC.

The beach in North Carolina. Best trip of my life.

I would have never guessed that in 3 years, we would own a home, start a family, and put Scott through school for the second time. Our life is nothing put craziness sometimes, but I wouldn't change a thing. I can't wait to see what the next year brings!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DEAR!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

David Cook

Here he is: David Cook!

For my birthday, my wonderful husband got me tickets to go see David Cook in concert. For those of you who don't know, I love David Cook. He was the winner of American Idol last year and I followed him the whole season. He is amazing. Anyway, Scott got me tickets and stayed home to watch Tayden. It was the first time I had left Tayden for so long and was a little nervous to say the least. But, I got over it and had an awesome time. It was fun being able to let my hair down and act like I was 17 again. I was by far the craziest of the bunch. In fact, looking back at the concert, I am semi embarrassed by my actions. The concert was incredible, but I had 3 major major highlights:

#1-I got my shirt signed by David Cook!!! We had balcony tickets, so my friend, Kara, and I snuck down to the lower level. We found some seats and sat down for a minute. I heard someone call my name and I found out it was a kid I went to high school with. He had won tickets and backstage passes on the radio earlier that day. He could see I was overflowing with jealousy and offered to get my shirt signed. Well, of course I took him up on the offer. My David Cook shirt now says, "To Stacey: David Cook". AWESOME!

#2-As David was singing a song, he started to walk the audience. I freaked!!! We were sitting next to the edge on the far right side. First, he walked up the left isle, so I knew he had to come our way. I was waiting very impatiently for him to come through the door, but nothing happened. I had given up all hope he was coming my way when my friend yelled at me he was coming. I trample all the girls I was with and got the edge, 2 feet from him! My emotions took over and I started screaming. Like seriously screaming. Stomping my feet and waving my hands. I looked like some of the girls in old Beetles footage. Then...he looked right at me and laughed. David Cook looked at me and laughed. It was awesome. He was probably thinking, "Holy Crap, who is this crazy chick...gemme out of here quick!" But still, he looked at me and laughed. WONDERFUL!

#3-I figured I had already snuck down to the lower level, so why not sneak up even closer? My friend, Nicole and I snuck as close as we could get. About 2 rows back from the pit. I was doing everything I could to get him to look at me. I jumped up and down screaming for about 10-15 , minutes, but nothing was working. Things started to die down as he was talking and my friend told me to yell. So I did. I yelled, "DAVID!!!". He looked over and said, "What?" And you know what comes out of my mouth? "HI!" He said "Hello"...to me! He stopped his little speech and said hello. Then, the security guard politely came over and asked if I was better...basically telling me it was time to leave. AMAZING!!!

I know, I am a little crazy. But in all seriousness it was the greatest night. I had a great time getting to know the girls better and am confident we will be able to stay friends. I had a night to myself, which hasn't happened in 7 months. I had a better appreciation for my husband and son. I let loose and enjoyed myself. It was the best birthday ever. Thanks to my love.

Here are some pictures: (Thanks to Dana and Natalie for letting me steal theirs. I didn't take my camera, it was too big. We didn't take a lot of pictures, we were too busy enjoying the show.)

All the girls. Kara, me, Nicole, Dana and Natalie in our outfits before we bought shirts. (Please ignore the huge rip in my knee!) p.s (I copied the pics from facebook, so you can't see the whole picture. You have to click on it to see the whole thing. Sorry, I'm not a computer gooru and don't know how to fix it.)

After we bought shirts.

Me loving my shirt! This was before it was signed.

My Friends Cute Kids

The other day I went to the park with my friends, Lindsey and Amanda. I love taking pictures and they were kind enough to let me take some of Kaden and Hannah. Tayden was a little sick and not to happy, so there aren't any pictures of him. Here are a few that I took:

They are showing up a little darker and a tad fuzzy on blogger than on my computer. I will have to see if I can figure out why, but here is a sample.

* I went to the David Cook concert last night! It was awesome!!! I will dedicate a whole post to it after my friends email me all their pictures. Stay tuned for an sweet post!
