Pretty Girl

 Scott and his pretty girl.

Birthday Prep

Kyles's birthday is coming up and he can't wait for his party. With the help of my mom and her laser cutting business, they put together paint boxes for his friends. Kyle took the job seriously and helped my mom from start to finish, a total of two hours. He typed, organized, carried, and put the boxes together all on his own. He really took ownership of his party. Every child will have a box, with everything they need to make a cute door hanger with their name and extras on it. It's going to be a great party. I love that my mom and Ky got to do this together.

Nicole and Kids

Nicole and I were best friends in high school. Inseparable and complete sisters. We did everything together, told each other everything, and never ever thought we would lose touch. Well, life happened, and years passed and before I knew it, it had been 10 years since we talked. Last year, I reached out to her, and now, we talk every day. It's as though no time has passed at all. We live about 2 hours away from each other, but were able to meet in Pocatello over spring break. The kids all got along fabulously and the moms really enjoyed catching up in person. I love this girl and don't intend to lose touch again!

Park Day

The sun is finally shining and the temperature is rising! We took advantage of it and spend the afternoon at the park. The little kids loved the park, the big kids loved the field, and the dog loved the mud. It was a great day!

Early Spring Break

For Spring Break this year, Scott and I really wanted to go somewhere and do something fun with the kids. We landed on going to a Utah Jazz game and spending a couple of days in Salt Lake City. We booked the hotel and picked out our tickets. The day I was supposed to buy the tickets Scott called and said, "Wait! Don't buy the tickets yet!" I was sure something came up at work and he wasn't going to be able to go with us. However, he told me his work was going to have a "Jazz Day" in a couple of weeks. The tickets include court time for the kids, courtside seats during warm-ups, catered dinner, and skybox seats. Even though we won't have as good of seats as the original game, we de decided the extra perks were worth it and decided to go that route. However, we still had the hotel booked, so we choose to go down for a fun one-night getaway.

We got to our hotel Friday night and swam for a little bit before we went to dinner. When we got back the bigger boys headed out to play basketball while the little kids hung out with Dad in the room. After a loooooong night, we woke up and grabbed breakfast. Dad took the big boys to play more ball while I took the little kids to swim some more. We ended the day shopping at Scheels, Ikea, and Smith and Edwards.

It was a quick trip, but so fun to get away for a minute. We can't for our Jazz Day in a couple of weeks!
