This year for Mothers Day, I can't help but think of the kids that made me a mom. From a young age, all I wanted to be was a mom. Before Tayden came, I would sit in his empty room and cry for my empty arms. And now the tears come because my heart is so full. Motherhood is a wild ride, but I love it, and I wouldn't change it for smooth sailing any day. So my kids in mind, here is a little update on all of them.
Tayden: 13 years old and acting more like a teenager every day. But in the very best way. Sure, he can tease his brothers and summon his attitude like no other, but he is so good. When he's not bugging his brothers, he's attentive to their needs. He makes them feel heard and loved. He has a gentle spirit that is easily offended by the inappropriate actions or words and often tells me about these feelings. He is concerned for his friends and while being goofy, he makes good decisions. Tayden is still all about that sports life. He just finished track season for middle school, and while he didn't love it, he did well. Most days, you'll find him outside shooting hoops or tossing a ball. Outside is his favorite place to be, namely Ashton. He feels most at peace when he is away from he worries of the world. He introduced me to motherhood and has helped me find my way along that path.

Beckett: My red headed, goofy giant. Beckett is still a head and half above most kids his age. Although, I'm sure it will all even out one day. He is goofy beyond words. He is constantly making others laugh with his silly antics and one liners. And while he still marches to his own drum, he is as confident as they come. He is sure of himself and isn't easily swayed. He gives me multiple hugs a day and always tells me he loves me. Beckett loves sports and is doing really well in football this year. He is active and likes to spend time with his friends. Beckett is our builder and knife lover. Give that boy a stick and a knife and he'll be happy for hours. He sees the world much like Scott and can image how things work without much thought. He is bright, and fun, and a pure joy.

Cache: My spider loving, reading fool. I am so proud of Cache. He had a really rough year. He struggled with friends, managing his feelings and self confidence. However, he has really put in hard work to change his tune and is doing amazing. Taekwondo has really helped, along with taking his tablet away, but the most change has come from himself. We've worked really hard on believing in yourself and seeing the good. He is doing amazing! He hasn't had any friend problems for quite some time and is feeling more sure of who he is. I honestly could not be more proud. Seeing your child overcome an obstacle like that is incredibly rewarding. Cache loves to read and chooses to take books with him when he anticipates boredom. He doesn't love sports, but is determined to try tackle football in the fall. He is really enjoying Taewkondo and I am hope it sticks. Cache does not know how to sit still and is constantly moving and talking. He could talk to anyone about anything, he's very much like Scott in that way. He thrives on one one attention and still holds my hand in the store. I can always count on him to help me in the garden and try new foods. Cache is finding himself and its such a pleasure to see!

Kyle: My forever side kick. Ky loves to hang out with me and run errands with me. When he's not hanging out with me, you can find him with Cache or at a friends house playing. Kyle loves to ride his bike and spends a lot of time outside. He has really started to love reading and usually has a book with him. Cache really helped mold his love of reading. Ky also loves all things RC and driving his RC cars. Kyle doesn't put up with his brothers teasing and stands up for himself, to the point of being physical. But lets be honest, that goes for all my boys. He is super observant, inquisitive, and aware of his surroundings. He asked the most impossible questions, like, "Where did Heavenly Father come from? Who was his dad and his dad and his dad?". He has a tender heart and feels bad for dying bugs and plants. He is the best caboose!
I love being a mom to these boys! They make up my whole world!
