Coda in College

My brother's son, Coda, came from Texas to attend BYU-I. We had him over for dinner before he and Tayden went fishing. They came back and we had ice cream while he finished his homework. He, the boys, and Scott stayed up too late playing the Xbox, so he crashed on our couch for the night. It was so fun having him in our home and I can't wait to see him more over the next year!

Early Morning Workout

Every morning, I wake up at 5:00 and hit the gym. Last Monday, Beckett didn't have school and asked if he could come. It was a lot of fun lifting weights with him! Luckily for him, he got to go home and go back to bed. I love this child!

Welcome Home, Dad

Scott spent the week in Dallas for work and brought home the boys all sorts of fun goodies. We all sat in my room looking at his swag and chatting about his week. For 30 minutes, we stayed up too late, laughed with each other, and enjoyed being back together as a family. These are the moments I live for!

Competing Cousins

Every year Beckett looks forward to playing my cousin's son, Makoy. They have played each other for the past four years and after every game, they always chat about the game and tell each other good job. Its really the best thing!

Stake Childrens Choir

Cache was invited to be a part of our Stake Children's Choir. They practiced so hard for weeks and sang at our stake conference. They did a great job and brought an incredible spirit to the meeting. I am so glad Cache was able to participate.

Labor Day

We had the very best Labor Day Weekend. The Dalleys came up and spent the long weekend with us in Ashton. It was a little rainy with cooler weather, and it was so wonderful. We had a great time fishing, building bike ramps, painting, playing games, and hanging out.

I love the Dalleys and spending time with them. The kids get along, Scott and Jeremy can talk about anything and I'll take all the time with Nicole I can get.

First Day of School 2023

This summer felt so short! Usually, by back to school, the kids and I are ready for summer to end. But this year, I wasn't quite there. I wanted to keep them home a little bit longer. However, the day came and they all did great.

Cache and Ky started the day and headed to Woodland Hills Elementary at 7:45. They didn't need me at all and asked them to just drop them off at the parent drop-off loop. I thought I would be okay with it, but I wasn't! I just couldn't not watch them walk into their first day, so snuck onto the playground and watched them. They found their friends and ran to their new classrooms without looking back.

Beckett helped them pick out their first-day outfits. They were so cute in their matching Jordan shirts!

Tayden and Beckett went to school later in the morning. A new school for both of them and they did great. Beckett started at Sandcreek Middle School and Tayden started at Hillcrest High School. It's crazy to me that I have a high schooler! They both did great on their first days and I am so proud of who they are becoming.

Grid Kid

Beckett started Grid Kid this year and per usual, is loving it. He is a rock star on the field and usually plays the whole game. The coach will give him a water break every now and then, but not too often. He is a main part of the team and does a great job on offense and defense. He loves football and I love watching him play!
