First Dance

Tayden was asked to his first dance, by his girl of interest, Pyper.
He's nervous but excited!
I can't believe I have a child old enough to go to school dances.

End of an Era

Beckett's grid kid team made the playoffs but lost in the first round—at least it was to our cousins' Makoys team. Which is Becketts favorite to play.  Beckett had an AMAZING season. It started off hard, but I could not be more proud of his mental strength! He led his team and did a great job at quarterback. In fact, he wants to continue on the quarterback path and play at the high school level.

He had great coaches and mentors who loved him like their own and pushed him to be better. I will never be able to thank them enough for being such a great example to my boy. I'm so sad that our grid kid days are over, but can't wait to watch him in highschool!

Cache Hunting

Scott, Cache, and Grandpa Packard went deer hunting last week. They didn't get anything, but as I've learned, hunting isn't all about the meat. First and foremost, it's about the memories. And Cache had great ones with this trip.

Caches Golden Birthday

Cache had the best golden birthday ever! He started the day with black belt testing. He did amazing! Watching him show off what he has learned over the past three years was so much fun. His confidence has increased tenfold and I would not trade his Southwick Community for anything. Even better than testing for his black belt was getting his black belt.

Later in the afternoon, we had his birthday party. He invited a great group of kids from all different parts of his life, including close friends, taekwondo friends, and some friends from past friendships. I was nervous about how it would all turn out, but it was great! Everyone got along, and he felt so special.

We ended the day with spider cake and the birthday song. I loved spending the day celebrating him. I could not love this child more. He has grown so much over the past year. Physically and emotionally. He is learning how to handle problems and keep things in perspective. He can calm himself down quickly and recognize his triggers. I am so proud of him.

Cache is so kind and a friend to everyone. He works hard and is passionate about life. He still loves to read and is crazy about tarantulas. He thinks through life and is careful about his decision-making. Cache is all things good and an absolute joy in my life. Happy birthday, Cachee boy! You are one in a million.

Brothers

I caught a cute moment the other day between the two biggest brothers. These moments make my heart so happy.

Sully the Giant

Sully, the gentle giant. He is bigger than we bargained for, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We love this pup!

Varsity Football

Between Tayden playing JV and varsity, and Beckett playing every Saturday, we've had a LOT of football. More than the little boys would like to participate in. We made them a deal that they could skip the away games but needed to come to the home games. They are actually starting to really enjoy the varsity home games. They see lots of friends and run around the stadium with them. Cache came back to our seats looking like this and I loved it! Its a great day to be a knight!

Powder Puff

Tayden coached the sophomore's powder puff team this year. They lost in overtime, by a horrible call, but he had fun doing it!

Halloween Ghosts

I made the cutest ghosts out of sheets and tomato cages! They didn't survive the first wind gust, but they were cute while they lasted.
