We don't have bed bugs, we have bed dogs!

Arcade

JoDells husband, Shane, gave the little boys a gift card to the local arcade. They cashed in and had a lot of fun!

Cancun Day Eight

Scott and started the day watching the sun rise. Although early, it was a fun way to start the day. As we were driving to the airport, we got notifed that our flight had been canceled and we were rerouted to Phoenix. The flight didn't leave for eight hours and then we were to stay the night in Arizone and fly to SLC the next day. I was not happy with that plan. When we arrived at the airport, Scott talked to someone and we were able to get on a flight to Philadelphia, then to SLC. It was leaving quickly and we barely made it with just a few minutes to spare. It was a long 13 hour travel day, but we were so happy to be home!

Cancun Day Seven

On our last full day of Cancun, we went to Akumul and swan with the turtles. There were boats in the area and it made the water a little rough, which made the snorkeling pretty difficult. Taydens snorkel didn't work well, so he swam without it most the time and Ky kept veering off course. We saw turtles, fish, and coral. It was neat seeing them in their natural habitat, but it was not our favorite day.

Cancun Day Six

Monday, we relaxed and hung around the resort. We slept in, played at the beach, swam in pool, ate lots of food, and enjoyed the sun. The kids loved swimming in the pool after the sun went down. And I loved watching them. They had the pool to themselves and made up games and played together. It made my heart so happy. As I was sitting by the side of the pool, I heard a rustle. Next thing I know, a pair of raccoons came up to my chair and stole my chocolate cake. It was hilarious. Resort days were great days!

Cancun Day Five

Sunday in Mexico was awesome! I loved worshipping with the Saints in Mexico. It was really cool to see that the church is the same, no matter where we are. We didn't understand what they were saying, but we knew what was going on. My favorite part was when our tour guide, Lamuel, showed up. Turns out we went to his home ward. I was so impressed with how loud and proud the members of that ward sang the hymns. They truly worshipped with song and it was beautiful!

Cancun Day Four

Day four of our Cancun was amazing. In fact, most of the family will say it was their favorite day. We went on an LDS tour of Chitzen Itsa and swimming in the Ilk Kil cenote. As we drove the two hours to Chitzen Itsa, our tour guide, Lamuel,  did a great job at showing us the connections between the Book of Mormon and Chitzen Itsa. It was amazing and we were all so invested in what he was saying.

When we walked into Chitzen Itsa and I saw the castle, I was overcome with emotion and cried at the sight of it. I felt so connected to history and like a part of something bigger. I saw our religion outside of the United States and felt the love of God for all his children. Past, present, future, and of all colors and cultures. It was deeply touching. It brough the Book of Mormon times to life and gave us a new experience. It was really neat.

After the tour, we swam in the Ilk Kil cenote. It was a hot day, so the cool cenote waters were so refreshing. It was fun to play with the boys and watch them enjoy the day.
