Spring Soccer

We had the mildest winter in 80 years, so it makes sense that our first soccer game of the season was in the middle of a snow storm. We love Idaho. 

 

Mecha

 Kyle got a Mecha Lego Set for his birthday. He worked on it diligently for over 10 hours
and it turned out so cool. He was so proud of himself.

Easter

Easter fell on General Conference weekend. That means no new church cloths or easter pictures. However, it did mean more learning about the Savior, sustaining of a new prophet, President Dallin H. Oaks, sticky buns, and lots of family time together. It was a great week learning about the ressurection and bearing our testimonies to the boys. 

We haven't done Easter baskets or egg hunts for the kids for the past few years, but we did hand out some candy at the end of the day. Luckily for our boys, Grandma Packard came through and did a fun Egg hunt for grandkids. She always does fun things for holidays and we are so grateful for it. 

Easter is a special holiday and the more I learn about it, the more grateful I am. I realize what a blessing it is to have the promise of a ressurection and how it truly makes everything just in the world. I used to be terrified of my family dying, and truth be told, I still am. However, my understanding of death is greater and my testimony of the ressurection is stronger. While I can't even think about someone in my family dying, I am so grateful to know that its not the end. We are so blessed to have a Heavenly Father that was thoughtful enough that he provided a way to live after a mortal death. I love Easter and love that we were instructed by prophets to celebrate it more fully. I hope my kids remember what a sacred holiday it is and grow to have their own testimonies of this powerful blessing.

Kyle turned 11 today! I can't believe  it. No more kids with two handed numbers. Gosh we love this caboose. He is firey, strong willed, and bit stubborn, but is also so kind and passionate. He is the biggest supporter for his friends and brothers. He loves firecly and will stand up for whats right. He hasn't found anything he loves yet, but likes to play soccer and build legos. He also really likes to play video games, especially with Cache and Scott. He is smart and so helpful in school. I'm constently being told what a good kid he is. And I agree. I am so glad to call him mine and will forever be grateful to have him in our famiy!

Buzz

When the boy walks out the door with friends like this, but comes home like this. No matter his hair, he's just the most handsome. 

 

Trench Digging

The boys helped Grandpa Packard dig a trench last week and it was hard work, but I sure loved watching them. Teaching them work ethic has been hard, but I'm sure it will pay off. Proud of them! 

 

Broken Scaphoid

About two months ago, Beckett hurt his wrist during a basketball game. It never got swollen or bruised, but always remained tender and sore. We figured it was a sprain or something that we would have to wait out. After eight weeks of not getting better, we decided to get it looked at. An MRI revealed he has a broken scaphoid bone and a torn TFCC ligament. I felt awful! Now we wait to see the orthopedic specialist and see what's next. 

 

Driver Licenses #2

Beckett is official! He passed his drivers test and got his license. Its crazy having two teenage drivers, but its proving to be useful. He didn't get the coolest car, but it gets good gas milage and gives him some freedom, so he's happy. 

 

Spring Break

Spring Break 2026 wasn't anything special, but I loved every minute of it. Scott had to work in Las Vegas for the week, so I had the boys to myself. Lucky for me, all their friends were out of town, so they didn't have anywhere to go, which meant a lot of quality time with me. It was amazing.

We went to the movie, out to dinner, had ice cream sundaes, lazy mornings and late nights. It was perfect! The days with all four of them at home are limited, so I really cherish these moments. I can't believe how fast time has gone and that we're at thing point. I refuse to take it forgranted, and even though we didn't go anywhere, it was exactly what I needed. There is no other way I'd rather spend my time than with my boys. 

 

Field Trip

We took our sixth graders on a field trip to the museum a few weeks ago. We had a lot of fun and they did amazing! I adore these kids. I can't believe the school year is coming to an end. I love being their teacher and will miss them so much!

 

Online Math

Kyle was struggling with math the other day. I offered to help and he said, "Its fine. I'll just hop on YouTube." I laughed at the huge difference between his education and mine.
