Valentines Boxes

We only made two Valentine's boxes this year. All year, Kyle has been coloring his art colors in a patriotic theme. So it was only fitting that he made a red, white, and blue tank. Cache made the monster book from Harry Potter and it turned out so cute! I can't believe next year I'll only have one.

Dogs

I walked into my bedroom the other day to find the dogs like this. It always warms my heart when I see Luna so relaxed with Sully. She does not like to cuddle, or even really be touched while she sleeps. But every now and then, we catch her with Sully and it makes me smile. She loves her little brother and it's just the sweetest thing.

School Record

Beckett has really found a love for weightlifting. At the beginning of the school year, he said he wanted to beat the deadlifting record. And this week, he did! He deadlifted 355 lbs, breaking it by 15 lbs! He's incredible.

The Best Mess

The best mess is because we have a hoard of boys at the house.
This is my favorite kind of mess.

Rec Ball

Tayden had so much fun playing rec ball this season! It turned out to be a great experience and a fun place for teenage boys to be. At any game, you could see cut-off jean shorts, funny money to bribe the refs, fake tattoo sleeves, begging refs, and a big crowd cheering on their friends. Oftentimes, the rec team had more spectators than the high school JV team.

I loved watching Tayden find love for basketball again. He found joy in the game and discovered the happiness of playing at a non-competitive level. It was neat to watch his friends rally around them, support them, and witness the fun. I love watching him grow!

New Glasses

New glasses for my boy. He's as cute as be.

Old Home Videos

While we were visiting my mom the other day, my grandma was downloading old home videos from my childhood. My boys gathered around and we watched for hours as my memories flashed before us. We saw my Grandma and Grandpa Mennear, my aunt Lanette, my Grandpa Karlson, and Great Grandparents. It was so tender and sharing it with my family was oddly emotional. I am grateful for the sweet life I have lived and get to live.

Taydens Birthday

Tayden is 16!! I can't believe it. How is this child a full-grown teenager? He is living this life full of friends, and jobs, and making his own choices. I am so proud of the young man he is turning into. I would do anything to make time stop, so I could keep him little forever. But I really love watching him do life. He is passionate, kind and my absolute dream come true!

Tayden declined a party to celebrate, but I have a hunch there will be a fishing trip with friends in the near future. Happy birthday to my first born. I love you more than you could ever imagine.

Becketts Birthday

We got to celebrate Beckett last week as he turned fourteen. We surprised him and his buddy Brody with a bowling party with friends. It was a fun afternoon hanging out with his friends. My favorite part was when a friend brought Beckett a box of Lucky Charms and Beckett said, "The food of my people!"

Other than that, Beckett had a pretty low-key birthday. We love Beckett so much. I don't even know where to begin. He gives the best hugs and plenty of them. He has a great sense of humor and more wit than he knows what to do with. He works harder than anyone I know. He is kind and smart and loves lifting weights. He has a heart of gold and is good to the core. It just doesn't get any better than him!
