Mom Hikes and Dad Golfs

Scott and I hit a new level of parenting over the weekend. We both had big things we wanted to do with friends and we both were able to go! We left the kids at home most of Saturday, and they did great! The house was a bit messier than I would have liked, but they were alive and happy! I can't believe we are at the point where we can really leave the kids. We leave them for date night and other errands around town, but this was different. I went hiking with friends at Grand Targhee and Scott was in Montana golfing.

The hike was great. It was wonderful to spend the day with friends outdoors. We had great conversations and pushed our bodies! I loved every minute of it. We did the same hike last year, on the same weekend, so I think we have a tradition forming. One that I am very happy about!

Scott went on an overnighter to Montana and golfed two courses. He didn't play well, but he had lots of fun. Which, in my opinion, is much more important! I love that he was able to go!

Extended Packard Family Pictures

We got new family pictures while Matt, Jen, and their kids were in town. They turned out great. I love being a part of this family.

B's in Ashton

We went to Ashton this weekend and while everyone was there, the B's (Beckett and Brody) stole the show. They made the best breakfast, all on their own, and spent the rest of the morning building a ramp. I love watching them grow! These two boys thrive in Ashton and I love their friendship. Not pictured are the snake they killed, the dirtbike rides they went on, and Becketts insane backing-up skills. It was a good weekend.

Napping Teenager

Tayden had an early morning t-time the other morning and when I got home from the gym, he had crashed on the couch. Watching him sleep on the couch felt like such a treat. He usually goes in so many different directions and hardly lands at home for more than a few hours. But having him home this morning filled my heart with love. This boy is growing up before my eyes but isn't quite grown yet. So, I will enjoy all my time with him and love the mornings he sleeps on the couch.

Hot Air Balloons

Last week as I came out of the gym, I noticed the sky was littered with hot air balloons. It was so fun to watch them as I ran my morning errands. It reminded me of the days in Las Vegas when the boys would watch the hot air balloons from their bedroom window. It was a fun little treat to have them in Ammon.

Mom Naps

It was my turn to nap with the dogs. Gosh, we love our pups.
