My baby Beckett is 9 months old, yesterday. I can't believe how fast time has gone and find it even harder to believe that in 3 months he will be a year! This little boy bring so much happiness to our lives. At 9 months Beckett Sean:

*Is a super duper fast crawling machine.
*Gets into everything. The cupboards, the fridge, the toilet, the pantry,...etc.
*Has the best laugh ever!
*Is going through a MAJOR mommy stage. I cannot leave the room without him breaking down....every!
*Loves whatever toys Tayden is playing with.
*Climbs up the stairs.
*Has learned to go down the stairs...very slowly.
*A huge flirt and ham.
*Loves attention.
*Is sleeping through the night, for the most part.
*Eats like a champ and loves finger foods.
*Weights 22 lbs.
*Has 4 teeth. 2 on top and 2 on top.
*Knows his name, as well as Taydens and Tanners.
*Knows mom and dad.
*Learning to clap his hands.
*Moves your hand or anything else that is in his way.

Then and Now

Preface: This morning the boys and I went to the park. We came home and changed clothes because 1.) Tayden was hot from all that playing and wanted to take his pants off and 2.) Beckett doesn't nap as well in clothes with zippers, buttons, or anything like that. 3.) Lets be honest, I hate wearing jeans at home. We are usually in gym shorts or yoga pants. So, we changed into our at home play clothes for the rest of the day.

Later that evening, Scott and I were getting ready to head to the store. I asked Scott to get Tayden dressed and told him his clothes were on the bed. I died laughing when he came out looking like this.

Scott had got Tayden and Becketts clothes mixed up. It reminded me of the same little boy were the exact same outfit two years ago.
Funny, huh?

And would you take a look at this handsome little man.

Good times!

Pumpkin Patch

We experienced our first Las Vegas pumpkin patch trip tonight. Its loads different than back home. First off, its just wrong picking out pumpkins in shorts and tee shirts. Secondly, the pumpkins patches are actually little carnival attractions. Petting zoo, blow up slides, rides and games included. They are set up on the corner of busy streets, just like Christmas trees in Idaho. It was a new experience, but we enjoyed ourselves.

Tayden couldn't wait to go down the big slide. He wouldn't even look at the camera for a second. He was just staring at it in excitement.

The petting zoo was pretty much goats and rabbits with a few chicks and ducks. I was so proud of T, he pet all the animals. He used to be pretty cautious around animals, but tonight he was so brave and touched all the animals. He actually LOVED them.

Poor baby Beckett slept through the whole thing.

Our strong little man loves bouncy house toys!

B woke up about 3 seconds before we left. He REALLY hates his car seat, so I was not about to take him out for a picture. So he stayed in a gave us a few smiles.

It was practically impossible to get Tayden to look at the camera with all the commotion going around him. This was the best I could get with the boys before Beckett started throwing a fit. Notice the sweet dolphin Tayden won at a carnival game? Yep, he loves it.

And one last picture. Becketts top teeth. I told you the gap was nice and wide. I hate car seat pictures because it pushes Becketts head forward and makes him look so fat. Okay, maybe its not the car seat. Maybe its just the 22 lbs of big baby?!

Happy (not so much in Vegas) Fall.

Updater....

I don't have any major theme to blog about tonight, just a random mess of iphone pictures and updates.

Lets start with the hubster. Scott is still waiting clearance for work. Basically, that means he sits in a ware house all day and cruises around on the internet and watches movies for 10 hours a day. Its actually extremely boring and he hates most days. However, its a paycheck so we don't complain too much. He is head of the scouts and is the home teacher supervisor. He stays busy with work, church and his ever needy wife-but some how he makes it all work. I think its because he is superman?

As for superman's wife. Not so super. Its been a rough week. First off, I caught pink eye. Awesome? Not really. My eye was pretty swollen for a good share of the week and I had a massive head ache for a few days. I didn't get much done around the house. Actually, I don't think I did anything. I had no idea pink eye could be so depressing and dehabilitating. It was frustrating and awful. It was an inviation for more than one pity party. And trust me, you don't want to hear the details. However...good things happened this week too. Two good things:

#1-My two year old Tayden. This is the good stuff. The updates you really want to read. T has been obsessed with Blues Clues lately. Seriously, obsessed. He knows all the songs, acts them out and even has a 'handy book' he writes all his clues in. Its the cutest.
This little stinker is also growing up right before my very eyes. His personality, his mannerism, his conversation, his attitude-everything points to a little boy, rather than a toddler. I can't get over him. I asked him the other day if he would go get my purple sandals. He was taking a few minutes longer than I had anticipated so I asked him if he found them and he replied, "Wellllll, I found one purple sandal" and came out of the closet twirling it on his finger. It was such a small, quick moment- but it made me realize how quickly he is growing up.
He took the sacrament indepently today and was so proud of himself. He says prayers and loves nursery. He is always so quick to say sorry, thank you, or I love you. He is the best big brother and constantly showers Beckett with hugs and kisses. I am learning so much from him. I want to be more like Tayden.

Funny pictures. First picture is of our extra Christmas tree lights. He found them in my dresser the other morning and started to play with them. I explained to him what they were for and that they were not to play with. (This kid is an angel as long as he gets an explanation he understands.) He said, "Okay mom" and went  on his way. Later that day, I ran my fingers along the gate at the top of the stairs and found the rest of the lights stuck in the little holes. I giggled and he came to see what I was laughing at. As soon as he saw them, he busted up laughing and told me, "I DID THAT!". I don't know why he thought it was so funny, but we shared a good few minutes of laughter.

This was Taydens response to me as I told him it was time to go home from the park. He seriously thought I couldn't see him. There is a row of bushes about 4 feet in front of him and a foot behind him. Good hiding buddy!

These are just some funny pictures of my boys in their Boise shirts. I tried to get a cute picture of them smiling together, but that just didn't happen this go around. I love Becketts hand on Taydens knee. These two love love love each other.

This one is just a classic funny Tayden face.
R.I.P Buzz. Tayden lost him the other day. He fell out of the fire truck T was pulling around. This little boys heart was so completely broken. He wrapped up in his blanket, laid his head on his dads shoulder and sobbed. Saddest thing ever. I broke down and bought him a new one. I vowed I would never do something like that, but the things you do for your kids. I would have done anything at that point to make his heart quit hurting.

#2-Beckett boy. Beckett is all over the place. We are chasing him around the house all day, pulling stuff out of his mouth, prying things from those little hands...you name it, we have to do it. He is still the happiest boy on the block and is sleeping through the night again. Hallelujah! B has two teeth on top and two teeth on bottom. He has a nice gap in the top two, just like Tayden had...if not a little worse. His hair is still red and we can't take him anywhere without people stopping to look at the cute baby. Beckett loves to talk and yell and scream and laugh and make noise of any sort. Which is fine. Loud, but fine. And boy oh boy, does he love to eat. He's a social eater and has to have finger foods on his plate while we eat dinner. Regardless of if he is hungry or not. He is cruising all over the furniture and walks with his little walker toy. I left him in his room for a minute today and came back in to find him sitting on a box of diapers. He was just chilling, chewing on a prescription for diaper rash. Guess I didn't put it up high enough. It was on the Tupperware behind him, but it looks as though that's not going to work anymore. I have a hard time getting mad at "crocodile", as Tayden likes to call him (We play jungle alot, and B always gets the role of the crocodile.) or telling him no. Pretty sure its those big blue eyes and irresistible dimples! I can't imagine our life without him. He is the perfect addition to our family.

So there you have it. A post full of random pictures and updates. Maybe something exciting this week will happen. I'll keep you posted!

When the cat's away....

...the mouse will play. That's the phrase right? Well, Beckett sure believes it. I think I was out of the room for 15 seconds and he managed to unload my whole pots and pans cabinet, minus one lid.

And then there's this. Again, gone for .13 seconds and he is under the sink the in the bathroom.
Haha. To say this little boy is busy is a huge understatement. He keeps me running. ALL. DAY. LONG!

And a picture for the road. Taydens exact words, "C'mon guys, lets go take a nap!"

This cute kid also got a hair cut tonight. Pictures soon.

Nineteen Eighty

Tonight, we had a surprise birthday party for a friend in the ward. The theme: 1980's. We had a totally rad time dressing up and hanging out with our friends.

Scotts picture really doesn't do him justice. The shirt was awesome and  believe me you...the pants had some pretty sweet pleats. Also, the fanny pack-priceless.
My sweet '80's get up. Short of my all my jewelry. Its hard to wear necklaces and bracelets and things of that sort with an 8 month old.
This was the best we could do for our boys. Pathetic, I know. But they are so cute anyway.
See those two teeth? He has two on top too!
Tayden was really into posing tonight. I dunno!
I doubt he could get any sweeter.

Not going to lie, I really enjoyed dressing up. Didn't so much enjoy the funny looks as I was picking up the pizza for the party. I guess that's what happens when you lose at Rock. Paper. Scissors.
Ah, such is life.
It was pretty fabulous time!

Mennears come to Visit

Mom and Dad Mennear came to visit last week. It was so awesome having them here, but I realized one thing about myself. I am horrible at taking pictures while visitors come. I'm just too busy enjoying my guests. Good thing my husband whipped out his phone a couple times to catch a few pictures.

While they were here, we spent some time down at the strip. I have basically refused to go downtown with Scott, but gave into the pressure this week. I'll tell you the truth...it was kind of fun. I actually enjoyed myself more than I thought I would. We went to see the water show at the Bellagio. To say Tayden enjoyed it- just isn't enough. His eyes lit up with excitement and awe. Every time the water would shoot from the ground, "OOOO" would escape his mouth and then he would quickly cover it up with both hands and laugh and laugh. It was the sweetest thing.

We also took my parents to Bass Pro Shop to look around and see the big aquarium at the Silverton. Afterwards we went out for ice cream. Best ice cream, frozen custard actually, that I have ever had. Yum. If anyone wants to come down, I'll treat you to some frozen deliciousness.

I loved having my parents here. I wish I was able to see them more often, but was very grateful that they were able to come. Thanks Mom and Dad. Love you so so so much!

Oh. How can we forget. Tayden enjoyed some awesome naps in "Grandma Mears" cars. Look at that hair! I laugh every time I look at this picture.

I love visitors a million crazy hair pictures!
Thanks again guys.
You are the best.
