Family Pictures

I have family pictures! Hooray! And even better, we got a decent on of my family. Better than decent actually, its beautiful. All I wanted out of the whole ordeal was one good picture of my little family. And boy, oh boy did I get it. They are fabulous! Thanks Dev!

Disclaimer -They are crystal clear on my computer, but as I said before, my blogger hasn't been uploaded my pictures clearly at all. I'll have to look into that.

The whole M family.
JoDell with the kids.

My beautiful sister.

My mom and dad. Love them.

My brother and his family. Seriously, are they not the cutest ever?

Told ya, its awesome!

When I see this picture...it reminds me of eternity.
They are the reason we all have each other. I couldn't be more blessed!

Kids Craft Corner

I've noticed a bit of a problem arising at the P house. Beside the fact that both my boys are deviating from our normal sleep schedule and trying to make their own. UGH! But that is a whole other post entirely. The problem, well its not even a problem really, but rather a challenge we seem to be facing these days....boredom! With the heat, 110*+ these days, we are inside ALOT. The heat alone is not that big of a deal, we have air conditioned places we can go. But the heat teamed with an ever growing mind of a two year old-that is where the problem lies.

Tayden is in major need of some new things to do. Toys all day are not cutting it, and I am not a fan of too much TV. So, today I made a decision. We are going to do one craft/activity/learning game/etc a day. Something out of the norm and something to push that little brain of his. Today, we painted a wooden snake.
He was concentrating so hard! He loved it. This kept him busy for a good 45 minutes, and then later in the evening when he wanted to finish it. It was amazing. And yes, we paint in our unders at home. Mind you, its hot. I tried to get a good picture of the finished project. But he was having too much fun playing with his new snake and was not holding still longer than he had too.

In luau of our new goal, I went out today and bought a few supplies to add to my extremely small kid craft stuff.

I fully intend to make a binder of different activities and coloring sheets. I went to our sweet library and got a load of books to help me find new ideas and things to do to keep my bright boy engaged. I am seriously so excited.
So, let me ask you. What are your essentials to keep your kiddies busy? Do you have any suggestions or ideas to help me get this project started?
Let me hear it!

You've Had A Birthday

Today was my birthday. I turned the big 2-5! It was different spending my birthday away from family, but it was nice to celebrate with Scott and the boys. My phone was flooded with facebook well-wishers, phone calls and text messages. I just want everyone to know how much I appreciate you. You sure know how to make a girl feel loved.

Also, Beckett is 7 months old today. I can't believe how quickly time has gone. He is growing up so fast! He is the happiest little guy, most the time. He has developed quite a temper when things don't go his way, but he is fairly easy to calm down. He has two bottom teeth but no top teeth yet.

Baby B is all over the place! We have a drop down family room with two stairs and Beckett loves to crawl on the them. He can actually make it up the bottom one occasionally. He crawls now with his belly off the floor, but isn't too fast yet. He is definitely faster doing his inch worming business. Whatever method he uses, he is into everything he can get his little hands on!

Beckett also loves standing at the couches. No cruising yet and I am a-okay with that.

This big baby has brought so much joy to our family. He is really starting to play with Tayden and it warms my heart watching them together. They are my whole world.

Oh, and before I go. Tayden has had a minor (really major) love for Toy Story lately. He gets pumped out of his mind whenever he sees any character from the movie. We were at the pool the other day and a little girl had a woody and bullseye. She let Tayden play with them for a minute, but then was ready to play with them herself. When she took them away his eyes welled up with tears and cried to me, "But I like them!". He was heartbroken. So much so that I decided it was time to buy him his own. We took him to the Disney store and let him pick out his very own cowboy and horse. We tried to get him a plastic set, but he told us flat out, "No, I don't want that!". He found these two and instantly fell in love. They have been glued at the hip. They have taken naps together, sleep together, eat together...you name it, he does it. We even have to act out his favorite scenes from the movie with them. I always draw the short end of the stick and have to be bullseye. But he loves it, and that's all that matter.

See, sweetest thing!

P.S-My photos are always fuzzy on blogger, but if you click on them to make them bigger-they are clear as day. Am I doing something wrong? How do I get them to show up clear when they are small? Any suggestions?

Ton'O Fun

The other morning, Tayden wanted to get out his Tent and Ton'o (Tunnel). I used to hesitate to get in out in Pocatello because it took up quite a bit of space. But here, in Nevada, we have ample room-so I got it out...and we haven't put it back for days!

Tayden loves to go through the tunnel and play in the tent. But more than anything he loves that Becketts plays with him.

"Follow me B."
"Come on brother."
"Becketts turn."

And sure enough, the babe follows.

Love my boys!

They are a ton'o fun!

Cowboy Lunch

I asked Tayden what he wanted for lunch today.
"Cowboy lunch." He replied.
I asked him what cowboys eat.
"Waffles."
"Alright, lets make cowboy waffles then."
"OK".

Cowboys, don't just eat regular waffles. No, they eat waffles with peanut butter, topped with chocolate chips, drizzled with syrup.

Yum, cowboy lunch.

Cowboys also wear their dads sandals.
Everywhere.
All day.

Yee-haw!

Cuddles

As I was laying Beckett down for a nap this afternoon, Scott sat with Tayden and read books.
When I came down to get Tayden for his nap, this is what I found.

Is this not the sweetest thing ever?
With Scotts schedule these two don't get much cuddle time during the day. So my heart melted when I saw little T nestled up by his daddy.

Ah, life is sweet.

Hello again

Wow! I can't believe I haven't blogged in a week. Not much has happened, but a few things worth mentioning:

This little ONE got his very first tooth. He is also working on another ONE as we speak. He was cranky for a few days, but seems to be back on track to his happy normal self.

We also had TWO wonderful visitors come. My Mother and Father in-law came down to visit for a couple days. It was awesome having them here. We went to Bass Pro Shop, out to dinner, Mandalay Bay, out to lunch, and spent a few minutes down at the strip. But more than anything, we enjoyed hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa. Tayden was in heaven and soaked up the extra attention. Although, I have to say he was heart broken when he woke up and they were gone. I love having visitors in our home and was sad to see them leave. Hopefully we don't have to wait long for more!

Next up. THREE lovely pillows. Actually, 2 1/2. Only two are finished, but the other is not far behind. Our front room was in need of a little pick me up make-over. I rummaged through my moms fabric when we were in Pocatello and sewed these THREE fun pillows. Nothing better than a free project.

I LOVE this one. The ruffles are from one of my moms old button down shirts. I cut the buttons and ruffles off the shirt, sewed it to some brown canvas(ee) fabric, and backed it with white. It turned out awesome and so fun.
This is my 1/2. I still have to stuff it. (Right now its just pulled over an old pillow) And then sew up the bottom. But you get the gist.

And viola, happy new pillows to brighten up the room. I'm still debating whether to cover the last red pillow. I have an idea up my sleeve, but we'll see.

And a picture for the road. Just because he is so cute and growing up to darn fast.

It makes me so happy watching him play!

GOOD DAY!

Working at the Car Wash

My boys washed my car tonight.
Yes, I'm a lucky girl.

Baby B and Tanner supervised.

Oh, and Tayden washed Becketts toes too.

Nothing like washing the car on a hot summer night.
Perfection.
