Family Pictures 2013

My great friend is an amazing photographer and I am so impressed with how our pictures turned out. She did a great job capturing our family and the crazy dynamic we have. I love all the posed serious pictures, but am equally in love with the outtakes as well. Enjoy the major major picture overload. I loved them all too much not to share.

Quick word about this picture. Notice mom? Putting on a shoe, balancing a baby, enduring a choke hold and holding up the dead weight of Tayden. Dad: Holding B's hands. Good work Dad.

All about Beckett

Beckett is at such a fun age. A terribly trying age, but still so fun. I was watching him the other day and realized there is so much about him and his personality that I don't want to forget.

This boy can sleep. I have never had an issue with his sleeping and never had to fight him to take a nap. Everyday I tell him its time to lay down, he tells Tayden bye and marches up to his room. He refuses to sleep with a pillowcase and has been known to take off his sheets too.

Beckett is a giver. When he feels like it. He hates to share with Tayden or me for that matter, but if he sees T sharing then he's next in line offering me some of his. He also has a huge heart. If you get hurt, you can bet Beckett is going to running over to ask if you are okay.

This boy is also quirky. He does so many funny little things. We've coined the phrase, "Oh, Beckett" for those silly little things he does. I think I use that term 15 times a day. He takes off his socks in the car and then puts them on his hands. He loves to sit in the highchair to watch TV. I am  constantly finding things shoved in little nooks around the house. He gallops everywhere. Seriously, side gallops like a horse. It's awesome.

Beckett has also learned at a very young age if he gets in trouble all he has to do is make me laugh. He hears me start to get angry and then pulls out the cheesiest grin and starts to giggle. It gets me everytime. My brother used to be able to do this with my mom and I never understood how he got out of so much trouble. Then I had Beckett and I completely get it. Its hard to be mad when you are laughing. It's almost an art with B. He hardly gets in serious trouble from me. But when he does, you can guarantee you're going to get the Beckett pout. He pulls out his bottom lip and says, "OOOHH-Oh", the sulks off. And this kid can sulk, hunched over shoulders and heavy steps. It's hard not to laugh at that too.

He gets into everything. Climbs on stuff, pulls out toilet paper, empties the garbage, spills water, pumps way to much of hand soap and toothpaste, whips with my phone charger or any long object, fills his pockets with rocks, colors all over his body, touches when you specifically tell him not to and pushes every limit I have set for him. He drives me crazy, but brings me so much joy at the same time.

I love this kid. He demands a banana every morning and a kiss every night. He stole my heart from day one and I don't mind one bit that he's kept it.
He is one of a kind.
And I am so glad he's mine.

Soccer

Tayden is playing soccer! It's been so fun and he is loving every minute of it. He really wanted to play T-ball, but he had to be five for the league we wanted, so we decided on soccer for the spring. He is really enjoying himself. We signed him up for the starter league, but because he wanted to be on his friends team, he is in a league up. All the other kids have played before, most of them for 2-3 seasons (fall/spring) and are 5 and up. Tayden doesn't really grasp the whole game idea yet, but smiles ear to ear the entire game. He is just happy to be out running around and kicking a ball with his friends.

First, he needed a ball.

He was so excited to write his name on his ball. As he was writing, a huge grin erupted from his face and he said, "I KNOW!". Then he ran over and showed me his 'y'. He thought it was so clever to use the seam for his 'y'.

We've tried to get in as much extra practice as we can. Its proven to be difficult with Scotts schedule and the other boys, but we're trying.

And of course, he can't go anywhere without his little shadow!

Today, he had his first game. It was a blast to go out and watch him play. Beckett enjoyed cheering for his brother, as did Scott and I. I loved spending the morning in the sunshine as a family. It's a neat thing to watch our family grow and enter into this new stage. It might have been the best morning since we've been here.

Happy Cache enjoyed the sunshine too.

He's #4. Which is just the coolest thing, because he is four too!!

I love these two pictures because you can see his smile. He was having the time of his life.

He has zero issue getting in the middle of the action to fight for the ball, even if its with his team.

 I love this handsome devil.

After the game the parents do a fun tunnel for the kids to run through and give high fives. It was pretty neat for the kids.

And of course, you have to end a soccer game with some wrestling. We have to wrestle on every patch of grass we come across.

Go Fireballs!

Cache eats...

Cache loves solid food. Alot. He always gets so excited when he sees me getting it ready.

He concentrates on the spoon the whole time and if I'm not going fast enough he grabs at my hand to shove it in his mouth.

But, if I am going fast enough, he patiently waits.

Then, all smiles...

Until you put the bowl down.

Being done is his least favorite part.

Day 7: Dream Job

Remember a long long long time ago when I announced I would be doing a 30 day blogging challenge? I also announced it would take way longer than 30 days to complete. At this rate it will probably take 30 months...or years. But today, I will complete day 7. What is my dream job.

Honestly, this is so super funny. But I have always wanted to be a personal assistant. The person behind the scenes that makes everything work. Every morning at my last job my manger had a list of things she needed me to get done for the day. I loved it. I loved that she came to me to see what time her meeting was or to run to the store to grab her something. I like being busy and doing different things each day and crossing off a to do list. I'm not sure if it would correlate in real life. I'd have to work for some one ultra fabulous and without an ounce of diva, but if the circumstances were right, I think it'd be the most fun job on the planet. It's a weird dream job, but its cool, because I'm weird too.

Whats your dream job?
Seriously, leave me a comment.
I want to hear it.
