Spring Break in Utah

Last week, while we watched Disney on Ice a couple of performances had me in tears. Not because of the skating, but because of the memories that they solicited. They brought back memories of Friday Night Movie Nights with my little kids. That used to be such a regular thing and over time, they just stopped. Now, the bigger boys are gone most Friday nights. It had me panicked that in three short years, Tayden could be out of the house. And the others are not far behind him.

So, when we got home, I told Scott we had to go somewhere for Spring Break. We need to take every opportunity we can to be with our kids. We put together a quick one-night trip to Utah and had so much fun! We went out to dinner, laughing each time that was like feeding a small army. We played at Top Golf, went to the Manti Temple Open House, and shopped our way home. It was just what my heart needed. Sitting in the car with my beautiful family, listening to an audiobook, and just being together, brought me so much joy.

I am so grateful for the time we have together. I cherish being a mother to these boys. They are my light and watching them grow is such a pleasure.

A and B

Ashton loves Beckett. Its really the sweetest thing. They came over the other night and Ashton had brought rocks for the snake, Doug. He was so excited to show Beckett and put them in Doug's tank. I love their cut relationship!

Heise Swimming

We started spring break with a late-night swim at Heise Hot Pools with the Snarrs. Taydens friend, Jackson, was visiting from Boise, so he was there too. It was so much fun!! I do not like playing in cold swimming pools, but a warm pool, that's a different story. We played and played all night, dunking each other and laughing so hard. On the way home Beckett said, "I don't remember the last time you played in the water like that with us. It was so fun!" It reminded me that I need to forget about the temperature of the water and just play with my kids. It was a great night!

Disney on Ice

Grandma Packard took the little cousins, moms, and Aunt Ashley to Disney on Ice. They put on a great show and the kids loved it. I was grateful for the chance to spend time with my little kids.

Walks with Scott

Making Scott go on walks with me brings me so much joy. On this walk, throwing snowball brought Scott joy.

State Basketball

Tayden went to Boise with some friends to watch his varsity team compete in the state basketball championship. They had lots of fun! I'm grateful to our friends for taking him and letting them enjoy the tournament together.

Snowy Baptism

Our sweet niece, Alaina, was baptized a few weeks back. It fell on a stormy weekend and the drive down was treacherous, but we made it safe and got to celebrate with her. And true to Beckett form, he took care of me and stomped out a path to the car for me to walk in. I love that boy. It was a snowy but great day!

Late Night Jumps

It never fails that 10-10:30pm hits and the teenagers come up to play. For some reason, that's the time they want to chat. The other night ended with them testing their vertical against Scott. Tayden won easily, by at least 6 inches. It was one of those unexpected moments that filled my heart. I miss our little kids, but these moments are golden.
