Halloween

Halloween is not my favorite. However, this year it was a little more bearable. The first thing that made it a little easier, was pre-cleaning the pumpkins. It was a warm day, so Cache and I cleaned the pumpkins outside before we carved them. It made the evening carving much less stressful, time-consuming, and messy.

Another part that made Halloween more enjoyable this year was the amazing weather. It was warm so we didn't have to bundle up to trick or treat. Tayden stayed home and handed out candy, Beckett went with his friends, and Scott and I took the little boys. Kyle wasn't feeling 100% and Cache didn't want to stay out long because he had to go potty. We stayed out long enough for the boys to get some candy and came home before anyway was freezing and/or cranky. The funniest part was when our neighbor thought Caches blow-up llama was another trick or treater and asked where his basket was. Then she realized it was part of Cache and we all busted up laughing.

Lastly, the best part of Halloween was my kids. I have the best! Tayden decided to stay home and hang with the family. He spends a lot of time with his friends, so having him home was a treat. He stayed up with Scott and I watch TV with us. It's fun having an older kid! Beckett stopped home before heading to his friend's house and said hi. About 5 minutes after they left, he came running back in. He said, "I forgot to give this to you, Mom!" as he handed me a full-size Peanut Butter Reeses. He knows me so well and loves me so much. He always puts me first. Cache and I had a great time cleaning pumpkins together. He's my little sidekick buddy and always wants to help. Kyle was so concerned about the trick or treaters when our candy ran out, he put his own out. Even though we tried to talk him out of it, he said, "I just want to make the other people happy!" It's hard to argue with that, so we let him put it. Then quickly turned the lights off. I love my boys! They each have the best hearts and I feel so blessed to call them mine. Even though I don't love Halloween, they made it so much better this year!

Happy Halloween, but happier its over.

Bull Hunt

Scott and Tayden drew bull tags this year. Scott took a whole week and a half off work and spent nine days in the mountains. His dad stayed with him the whole time and the boys got to stay about four days. The weather wasn't ideal and they walked away empty-handed, but they made so many great memories. And that is way more important than filling the tag.

(Luna was in disbelief that they left her.)

Finishing Football

Football is over for the season. Tayden, Beckett, and Cache all had a great time.

Tayden: Taydens team had a learning year. Their team split, only leaving them with16 kids on the team. Many of the kids were playing multiple positions. They even had Tayden on the O-line! Even though they only won one game, Tayden maintained a positive attitude. He got the knight's spirit award and the tackling hammer in the last game. He has great friends on the team and his coaches are such good examples. Overall, it was a great season!

Beckett had a hard start to his season. His team split as well. They got progressively better and ended up taking fourth place. He learned a lot and quite enjoys tackling people.

Beckett and my cousins son, Makoy.

Cache had a great season too. His flag football team remained undefeated all season. He doesn't love football as much as his brothers, and it definitely doesn't come as natural, but he worked so hard this year and he improved so much. He reads the field really well and is always so proud of his teammates.

It was a great season. And now, onto basketball.

School Carnival

We had another great school carnival this year. My boys always look forward to this night and it's a great opportunity to support the teachers.

The kids had a wonderful time and walked away with awesome face paintings.

Pumpkin Patch

Scott and the big boys are out hunting, so the little boys and I are here playing. Friday we went to the haunted car wash, which was a surprisingly a big hit with Kyle. He doesn't like scary shows, but he loved this. And even more surprising is that Cache didn't like it. After the car wash, we redeemed Kyles free pizza from Pizza Hut and got one for Cache too. They thought their personal pan pizzas were the best thing ever.

Saturday, we went to the pumpkin patch, along with the rest of the county! It was so busy, but we had a good time and picked pumpkins to carve. Then we came home and enjoyed the nice weather, colored in the grass and took Luna for a walk.

Hanging out with these littles has been a lot of fun, but we're all missing their big brothers.
