School Carnival

We had another great school carnival this year. My boys always look forward to this night and it's a great opportunity to support the teachers.

The kids had a wonderful time and walked away with awesome face paintings.

Pumpkin Patch

Scott and the big boys are out hunting, so the little boys and I are here playing. Friday we went to the haunted car wash, which was a surprisingly a big hit with Kyle. He doesn't like scary shows, but he loved this. And even more surprising is that Cache didn't like it. After the car wash, we redeemed Kyles free pizza from Pizza Hut and got one for Cache too. They thought their personal pan pizzas were the best thing ever.

Saturday, we went to the pumpkin patch, along with the rest of the county! It was so busy, but we had a good time and picked pumpkins to carve. Then we came home and enjoyed the nice weather, colored in the grass and took Luna for a walk.

Hanging out with these littles has been a lot of fun, but we're all missing their big brothers.

Nine Years of Cache

Cache turned nine this week! Time has gone so fast with this little boy, but at the same time, I feel like he's been nine forever! Caches birthday was pretty low key. He went to school and I picked him up for lunch. He chose McDonalds and insisted on ordering by himself. He  came and played in the snow the rest of the day. Oh yeah, that's right. It snowed NINE inches on his birthday eve. When Scott got home we finally opened his gift and he was thrilled with his new game, Subnautica.

Cache is a joy to be around. He is loud and loves to talk, and is so excited about whatever he is on his mind. He is learning to sit still, though he is far from perfecting it. He still loves spiders and tells anyone willing to listen about his tarantula. He is super smart and it's not uncommon to find him reading a book. He isn't driven by sports like his brothers but likes them well enough. Cache is kind and loyal and always willing to hold my hand. I love this boy more than you can ever imagine and I am so lucky to call him son.

Pocatello Temple Open House

We were lucky enough to attend the Pocatello Idaho Temple open house on Friday. It was such a great day.

We took the trailer down to Inkom in preparation for hunting, so that meant we took the truck. The truck is always a little crowded, but the kids are great travelers. Taking the truck means Cache is up front with Scott and I. He always wants to hold my hand. I hope that never ever changes. The other kids were great too. Beckett and Kyle played the whole way down and Tayden just hung out. Some people think we are crazy that we don't supply the kids with stuff to do during car trips, but I love the chance it gives us to connect.

It was so cold Friday. It rained most the day and the wind was blowing. I wasn't near as prepared as I should have been and not one of my kids had coats. We were chilly. But that didn't stop be from getting a few pictures.

The Temple was incredible. The inside was beautiful and held such an amazing peace. I can't believe my hometown has a temple! Growing up, there was only one temple (the Idaho Falls) down the I-15 strip, now there are three with another being built in Rexburg. It's so neat to watch these temples be constructed and watching the gospel grow. I love the temple and am so grateful for the peace and answers we find there. I'm grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who has provided a place for us to make covenants with him so we can return to him.

Knight Spirit

Tayden has had a rough football season. But, that hasn't stopped him from playing hard and being positive. I'm so proud of him.

Conference Weekend

Another conference weekend in the mountains in the books. I love spending time listening to the prophet and apostles in the greatest of Gods creations, nature. My favorite part was watching my boys color together as they listened. It was such a peaceful and winning mom moment.
