Halloween

Idaho Halloween was such a treat this year. We enjoyed some old school trick or treating with friends and didn't freeze too bad. It was a win.

My three ninjas and pumpkins were just the cutest and had a blast trick or treating.

Cache was funny, telling and "ninja-ing" all the scary costumes.

We had a great night. Now on to November and thanksgiving. My favorite!

Pumpkin carving

We finally carved our pumpkins tonight and boy oh boy was it fun. We four little boys, a knife kit, candles and fire, pumpkin guts to you elbows and only two adults-- it's an all hands on deck affair, so we only snapped a few pictures after everything was said and done.

The boys enjoyed it, though mom and dad did most the work. Cache did a good job licking the lids. Gross. Haha

A jack, a bat and hard to see spider.

Also, before I forget. Tayden had crazy hair day for school last week. We got pretty crazy.

October has been good to us, and it gets even better tomorrow when we welcome Uncle Matthew home from his mission in South Africa. The boys can't wait and to be honest, neither can I! Feeling blessed!

Fall Frolic

Taydens school does a major fundraiser each year called the fall frolic. It was a total hit among the kids.

There was food, games, prizes, crafts and reptiles! It was a party and they loved every minute.

Digging for dinosaurs.

Tayden, Baymax and Hallie.

Had to document Ky out of the stroller. Hah.

Cache was going 100 mph in the reptile room. He loved every second and was telling everyone about all the different animals.

Holding the python.

See the guy with the tattoo? Cache walked up to him touching his tattoo and said, "My like your lion picture on yours arm." It was so funny.

Ky and sunshine the snake.

I love Taydens school and how much family involvement there is. It was a fun night.

Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch. I've been wanting to go for awhile, but circumstances have only now allowed us to go. It was super fun and the kids quite enjoyed themselves.

Walking into the pumpkin patch was a gigantic pile of hay. The boys immediately ran up it, jumped down and played.

And they immediately regretted it. We had to take off every shoe and every sock of all three boys picking out pieces of straw.

Picking the pumpkins was much less hazardous. We searched and searched for the perfect pumpkins until we finally found "the ones".

And they found the perfect place at our home.

Fall is so fun.

Double CheckUp

My little boys had their check ups today. They both did great and are heathy as can be. Cache talked the the docs ear off, which is no surprise. Kyle fell asleep 2 minutes before his shots, which again, is not surprising.

Cache is sticking on the small curve and weighs in at 30 lbs and is 3 feet tall.

At six months, Kyle is 20 pounds and 28 inches.

I love these sweet sweet boys.

Three years of Cache

Yesterday was Caches third birthday and he loved every minute of it. I don't think he realized just how a birthday could be. But, he soon found out as he woke up to his dinosaur cake.

He loved it! He look at it and told me all about it for a good 30 minutes. He called his dad to tell him about it and even ate breakfast by it. I was so pleased he was happy.

We called him Birthday Boy all day to which he replied, " I'm not Birthday Boy, I'm Cache Thomas Packard." Every single time. The rest of the day was pretty low key as Beckett is feeling under he weather. My parents stopped by for a few minutes before dinner to deliver a present.

He was majorly excited about his new scooter. He has been riding it non stop. Literally, non stop. He's been in the house with it, riding it to the bathroom or the fridge and everywhere in between.

Scott got home and we ate a quick dinner, opened presents and had cake. Cache was super excited when he learned he got extra gifts. He thought the one from grandma and grandpa Mennear was it.

His grandma and grandpa Packard got him a super cute puma outfit and a dinosaur puzzle. The puzzle, was a hit. We've done it no less than 14 times today. Mom and Dad got him two switch and go Dino's, which he loves and has actually shared a little bit with his brothers.

It was a wonderful day. Cache is excited to be three. Especially after Tayden taught him how to hold up three fingers.

He's still working on it.

We love Cache. He is a light in our life that brings such joy and happiness. I can't believe it's been three years since I laid my eyes on this wonderful little boy.

At three years old, Cache Thomas::
--Is super silly. He says the funniest things and has the cutest expressions. Today, he said, Upon trying A1 sauce, "This is way too hot. It's not for kids.
--He tells everyone loud and proud he is Cache Thomas Packard.
--When he gets upset he crosses his arms real hard and says, "I'm so sad at you" or "don't talk to me."
--He wakes up and announces, "I waked up!!" Then gives me the biggest hugs.
--Is left handed and is learning how to write.
--Knows all his colors and is learning to recognize the alphabet.
--Is a great sleeper and takes a nap, most days.
-- Is potty trained and has been for almost a year.
-- Is a good big brother most days, but can be pretty rough with Kyle.
-- Keeps up with the big boys and thinks he's one of them.

We love you Cachee Boy and are so glad your a part of our family.

Blessed by Idaho

I can't help but feel blessed. When we moved from Las Vegas I was devastated to leave my friends. I was certain life would never be the same. Turns out I was right, but it's okay. I learned so many great things from Las Vegas and made life long friends. And they taught me how to be the best version of myself and how to be a true friend.

Which is one reason I feel so blessed. I have met the greatest girls here. Jodie, my across the street neighbor is the kindest, sweetest person. Every afternoon we go sit in her shade, let the kids play and chat about everything under the sun. We watch each other kids, borrow a cup of sugar and depend on each other daily. She's seen me at my worst and my best and let's me be me. She is heaven sent.

I can say the same thing about Heather. Our kids were in the same kindergarten class and we met in passing one day. And now, she is one of my closest friends. We randomly stop at each others houses and have been known to spend an afternoon together in our scrubs. She's usually my first phone call in a bind and just gets me.

Together, the three of us have become really good friends. We spent the day canning applesauce this week and it was beyond fun. The day was full of laughter, mess making and learning together. They are the friends that pick up your crying baby without asking or get your thirsty son a drink of water. It's a sisterhood and I love it.

I also joined a volleyball group this week that meets at the church and plays through out the week, as well as a bunco group that meets once a month. I was concerned I wouldn't have the outlets that I did in Las Vegas, but it turns out I do. And I am so grateful.

Another reason I am feeling blessed is because Scott got a deer. The season opened up yesterday and a few hours into it, he shot a buck. I love that we have meat in our freezer and that he got to do something that he loves so much.

Tayden is loving school. Most days he rides his bike with the neighborhood kids or carpools and rides the bus home. He has a great group of friends that he runs around with daily and hardly spends anytime watching TV or being bored. He is thriving.

Beckett is also loving his preschool class. He is doing great in speech and keeps up with the big kids around the block. He has really taken to being a great big brother while Tayden is at school and is a source of laughter in our home.

Cache and Kyle are my awesome stay at home buddies. They are both blossoming in their respective elements and keep me smiling.

Life in Idaho is easy. Its simple. It's running to the store on the back country roads, playing football every evening in the backyard, watching the sun rise over the windmills, letting kids run free and explore. I really feel like I am finding my groove here and feel so blessed.
