Cowboy Cache

C is for Cowboy Cache. The letter C has been his favorite week at preschool by far. And the cowboy day topped it off. 

This boy sure is something special. He is funny, wild, kind and did I mention he is incredibly funny. As we were heading to the store we all took turns telling jokes. This was Caches, "Why did the kitten eat the kitten with the candy in the wrapper?" When he asked him why, he said in the silliest little voice, "I don't know!!" We all cracked up laughing. Cache sure brings us happiness. 

Re-Cast

Beckett got his hard cast off yesterday. He was so excited!! The other boys wanted to tag along and watch the excitement of the removal. 

The X-rays looked great. Beckett was able to get the cast removed and into a brace for a couple of weeks. The company that fits the splints was closed, but his arm was sore and he wanted some support around it, so we ran to Walgreens to get a temporary one. He was pretty happy with it. 

He was showing off all his awesome tricks and wanted me to take pictures of all of them for our book. 

We went and got fitted for his new brace. It's much sturdier than the temp was and not near as itchy either. He is very very pleased with it, but unfortunately I don't have any pictures. But he is so excited to have moment back in his elbow. Oh, and so happy to shower again. 

We are so glad to be at the tail end of this circus. It's been incredibly hard on Beckett and I am so proud of how he has handled everything. Things are looking up! 

Loveland Aquarium

Last weekend we had the opportunity to go Salt Lake City to attend a wedding reception for Scott's cousin. We made a day of it and took a family day to the aquarium. 

It was great to spend some time as a family and do something fun. The boys loved it. A lot. Especially Cache and Kyle. Kyle loved roaming around and looking at all the neat fish. Cache loved it all, especially the Penguins.

The rope bridge was pretty fun. Tayden couldn't get enough of it, Beckett wouldn't dare it and Cache tried, but couldn't just do it. 

It was a great day and so much fun. 

Nuggie

These boys have been friends from the moment B was born. 

But, their friendship has entered a new ground. Having them both in school has really brought out the protective side of Tayden. As if he wasn't already. Beckett told me today that every morning when he is in line waiting to go inside, Tayden gives him a noogie and hug. It's out of pure love and it makes my heart so happy. 

I also always want to remember how they call it a nuggie. I love having a house full of boys! 

Pizza in the Park

Friday night is our pizza night. And most Fridays, we get a movie to go along with it. But cranky mama really needed to get out of the house and some fresh air, so we subbed the movie for a new park. And boy oh boy was I glad. We went to a little pond park Scott found as he was driving around Idaho Falls a few weeks ago. It ended up being a dog park with crazy dogs everyone and even one that stole Ky's pizza. But with the dogs there were hundreds of geese. It was really cool. I wish I would have gotten one good picture to show the sheer volume of geese. The boys favorite was watching them take off. I see some serious hunting in their future.

The pond also had loads of fish. We got there right in time for their dinner! They were jumping out of the water catching little bugs. We really enjoyed watching the little fish.

After pizza we walked around the loop and skipped rocks along the way. It was so good for my mama heart and chased the crankies away. 

New

We've had lots of new going on this week. 

First up, I got braces!! I'm thrilled. As uncomfortable and painful they are, not to mention hideous, I am excited to get my teeth back in order. They have bothered me for years and I am glad to be getting them fixed. I feel like a walking mouth and like that's all people can see when I am talking, but I have vowed to not let them hold me back. It's definitely taking some getting used. 

The second and my favorite...our new Van!! 

We have been debating whether or not we really wanted to embark on the van-venture, but finally gave into the convenience of the ultimate family car. It has been life changing. I can not tell you how much I love this car. The automatic sliding doors, trunk space, reclining seats and little mom features like the trash bag holder are my favorite. Scott loves the gadgets like push button start, backup camera and touch screen. The kids love it too and think it's just the coolest car on the block. Beckett especially finds it comfy. 

We're all so happy with it. 

The last new thing of the week. Possibly more exciting then the van, Cache started Joyschool!! We are doing a neighborhood co-op and Cache couldn't be happier to be doing school with his little buddies. He did great today and can't wait to have school at our house. 

Cache went to school in his favorite hole jeans. It's going to be a sad day when these pants don't fit anymore....which is getting closer. 

Ky had to get in on the picture fun. Cutest little brothers! 

It's crazy to think I've got three in "school". How fun it's been entering this new stage of life. Which is actually my favorite new thing of all. 

Hard Cast

Beckett got his hard cast this week. He chose camouflage and is pretty happy with it. 

We were expecting 6 weeks, but the doctor said if everything keeps going well then he'll only have it 3 weeks! THREE WEEKS! Then they will move him to a velcro brace which he'll wear for a week straight and then slowly ween him off of it over the next couple weeks. So prayers we can stay on track for that! 

Beckett is doing a little better. He is still having major meltdowns now and then, but they are getting less and less frequent. He is doing more and more with his left arm and compensating when he needs to. This has been a challenge, but I am so proud of him.
