SICK

So, I wish over the past week I had something fascinating to write about. I don't. I wish I had beautiful pictures to post. I don't. I wish I had something to say other than how sickly this house was the past 7 days. I don't. The P house was plagued with an awful cold the past few days. Snotty nose, yucky cough, red swollen eyes, the whole works. I had a sick husband, was sick myself and had two sick kids. Nothing is worse than a sick newborn. Except a sick toddler. Oh and being sick while tending them. And to tell you truth, at the end of the week... I was sick of it. So, now that we are on the mend, I will try ever so diligently to take loads of pictures and post something soon. However, I will say this: Beckett is 3 weeks old today. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. He is the perfect addition to our family.

Bubbles?

Things were a little too quiet this morning. That usually means trouble with the master of disaster at our house. So, I went upstairs to investigate and found this...

Tayden had opened the Vaseline (we have it out for Becketts circumcision) and was applying it all over his body. When I asked him what he was doing he replied...."Mama! Bubbles!"

Experience Bingham

Warning: lame post. It's just for my own personal records.

Its true. I have converted to Bingham Memorial Hospital. I delivered both boys there, my doctor is there and we just switched pediatricians so our kids are there too. Tayden and Beckett met with their new doc yesterday for the first time and I was very pleased. They both are doing great! At 2 years old Tayden weighs 28 pounds and is 34 inches tall. And at almost 2 weeks old Beckett weighs 8 lbs 6 oz and is 21 inches. It is so wonderful to hear that both boys are healthy as can be. It reassures me as a mother I am doing something right.

Happy weekend.

Sleeping Beauty.

I could just stare at him all day.

Sold!

Well, the papers have been signed. We officially accepted an offer on the house and the process has been started. We received full asking price PLUS we get to rent the house from the new owners until Scott graduates in May. It doesn't get any better than that! We are so blessed. I love seeing the Lords timing play out and am extremely grateful for his hand in our life. I'm trying not to get my hopes too high until we close on it, just in case something happens, but for now I am very pleased with how things are going. Once again, we are so blessed.

Facebook

A few random 'facebook' thoughts that sum up the first week of having two kids at home.
  • Never underestimate the power/importance/usefulness of feet when your a mother.
  • I really have two kids?!
  • Still learning how to put two kids to bed. Suggestions?
  • I kept them happy and fed....well for the most part, all day!
  • First day alone, success.
  • So thankful for my husband
  • I think I can do this.
  • I have the most wonderful family and friends ever.
  • Oh, the joy a newborn brings to this home.
  • Sleep? I think I remember that.
  • So many noises.
  • Thankful for these quite moments.
  • Date with my husband, yes please.
  • Tayden is such a good big brother.
  • How did I ever live without Beckett?
  • I can see my toes again!
  • Bliss.
  • Loving me some nap time.
  • Ah, the joys of adjustment.
  • Hic-ups again?
  • This was easier than I thought.
  • Nothing like watching all 3 my boys cuddle.
The list could go on and on, but as soon I sit down at the computer I get a major case of writers block. I was hoping that would go away with the pregnancy, but no such luck. This past week has been phenomenal. I didn't think we would survive, but somehow we are.

Tomorrow's goal: Pictures of Beckett.
