Sturgeon Fishing

 Tayden texted his Grandpa Packard and asked him to take them fishing. Dave immediately agreed and sweetened the deal and offered to take them sturgeon fishing. Scott joined them and spent the day on the lake with nine other fishing boats. Sadly, they only caught two fish. Tayden caught a carp and Beckett was the lucky one of the day with a sturgeon. 

Even though they didn't have a great catching day, they had a great day together. The boys had the best time on the boat with their dad and grandpa. They had nothing but good things to say when they got home. They didn't complain about not catching fish but laughed about watching everyone else catch fish. They talked about the food they ate, what they talked about, and peeing in a bottle! Basically living the dream.  Watching them make these memories with family members makes me so happy. It confirms that moving back to Idaho 8 years ago was the right choice. 

Andersen Girls Sleep Over

The boys have been begging to have their cousins sleep over all summer. The stars finally aligned and the night finally happened. We had a movie night, played multiple rounds of scavenger hunts, got donuts at Broulims, and went park hopping. Plus, I got lots of hand-holding love. It was a great weekend and we love having cousins so close! 

 

Ashton

I haven't posted about Ashton for a while. It's still there and still great. Unfortunately, we haven't gone as much as we would like this summer. And when we do get up there, I spend my time enjoying it and not taking pictures. 

I love this place that offers a place to disconnect from the world and reconnect with each other. 

 

Scott and Sully

Scott loves Sully. No matter how many times he calls him "dumb dog", there are a thousand more "Sully Boy" and "Sullster" in there. He loves his pup and the feeling is pretty mutual. 

 

Evening Fishing

Tayden asked me to take him fishing the other evening and I jumped at the chance to spend the evening with my boy. I sat out and read a book while he fished. It was awesome! We let Cache and Ky tag along and catch crawdads. It was a wonderful evening!! 

 

Movie Night

For Christmas, my parents got us a projector and outdoor screen and we have loved putting it to use! 

 

Adult Halloween Candy Trade

Scott and Tayden came home from golfing the other night with the biggest, goofiest smiles on their faces. Scott said, "This is like the adult Halloween candy trade!" Apparently, they found thirty golf balls on that course that day and couldn't wait to get home to trade them. It was the cutest thing!
