My first year of teaching is offcially in the books! It was a great and busy year and one I'll never forget. We ended the year with a sixth grade track meet and party. It was awesome to spend time with the kids just having fun. I love these kids and can't image loving the next class as much as I loved them. I'm grateful for this career. I love being with the kids, working with an amazing team, and having the summer off with my family!

Holding Hands
There is nowhere I would rather be, than holding hands with my husband. To say I love him is an understandment. In the last 20 years, our relationship has grown into a beauitful life. He is my safe space and my best friend. I'm so grateful for him.
Teenagers and Dogs
I've always heard kids need a dog. Which, in my opinion, is true. However, even more true, is that teenagers need a dog. Our dogs bring out the soft and silly side of the boys. They never have to be too cool or strong around the dogs. They help regulate their emotions and just make them happy. And I love nothing more than happy boys!

Boise Bestie
Nicole and I finally found a weekend to spend together. As our families get older and busier, its becomes increasingly hard to find time for just the moms. So when the stars align and we get the chance, we jump on. I spent the weekend with her in Boise and we had a great time. We attempted to get a hotel, but they apparently overbooked, so we ended up at her house. Which was fine by me, because I love her family.
We shopped, went to a play, out to eat, and looked at old scrapbooks. It was a great weekend and I love my friend. Watching her become a mom has been so inspiring. They don't come as good as my best friend and I feel blessed to have her in my corner.
First Ashton Fish
Due to the mild winter, the school district didn't used any snow days. So in turn, we got a day off during Teacher Appreication Week. I spent my morning off with Tayden fishing. It was fun to have a little one on one time with him and watch him do what he loves. He is a fisherman through and through and is a different person out in nature. That is where he feels his best and loves life the most. It was fun to share that passion for a few hours.
Running Buddies
Kyle has been frustrated with his stamina, rather lack of stamina. So, he asked me if I could help him getting better. We came up with a plan and have started jogging a few times a week. Scott has even joined us a few times. I am proud of him and his desire to get better.
