Tayden took Ky fishing the other day. Kyle had so much fun having his biggest brother all to himself for a couple of hours.

Yellowstone with the 6ers
I was invited on the sixth grade field trip to the Grizzly and Wolf Center in Yellowstone this year. It was a lot of fun, even though Cache was less than thrilled to have me there. I was supposed to chaperone his group, but when we arrived at the center, it wasn't busy at all. So the teachers decided the kids could go with friends and the adults could wander. Cache didn't waste any time leaving me in the dust and running off with friends. He was gracious enough though to let me take a few pictures. I love this growing boy.
7s in Utah
Becketts 7v7 team decided not to play in the local league, but travel to a couple of Utah tournaments. This was Becketts first time playing in a tournament as quarterback and he did great. He threw some great balls and really started to read the field better. More than that, he kept his cool and didn't shut down or get upset when things got rough. He is really hard on himself and gets frustrated easily, so watching him keep his cool was impressive. They won some and lost some, but had lots of fun. I can't wait for tackle this fall.
Luna Update
Its been a month since Luna got her eye removed and shes doing great! Her recovery has been super breezy and she is happier than she's been in a long time. She's relieved to be pain free. Watching her run and play again has brought us so much joy. Had we known what a difference the surgery would make, we wouldn't have put it off so long. Plus, shes the cutest one eyed girl.

Tayden official paid us back for his car damage! The night he wrecked was awful and I wasn't sure how we were going to proceed forward, but we did. And I am so proud of all us. I am proud of Scott and I for staying true to word, even when it was so hard. We didn't let him drive anywhere besides school and work, which meant more driving for us. Which was hard, considering we were enjoying his freedom as much as he was. I am proud of him accepting his consequence. He never fought again his punshiment and rarely ask for an exception. I'm proud of him for getting a job and working hard to pay off his debt.
It turned out to be a great learning experience for everyone. It just proves that there are lessons to be learned among trials, growth is always possible, and restoration is coming.

8 Million Words
Kyle's class read 8 million words this year. He read 692, 199 words by himslef. He was pretty proud of this accomlishment.
