Texas 1

We are road tripping to Texas!! The first day was great. We put in 720 miles and spent about 12 hours traveling, stops included. The kids did phenomenal. Seriously, they were so good. No fighting, yelling, or anything of that sort. They were rockstars and I could not have been more proud. The biggest entertainment hit was the bubble gum and wiki sticks. We let them watch a show the last two hours, but they was mostly to give Dad a quiet break. Although, they loved it and thought it was so fun to watch a movie in the car.

Beckett brought crafting stuff in the car and made an awesome hat for monkey.

We stayed the night in Colorado Springs. It was hard for me to drive through Denver. It reminded me so much of Las Vegas.

The first leg of this trip has really affirmed how much I love our stage of life. The boys have been old enough to sit in the car and help their little brothers. And go to the bathroom together, and lay down in their hotel beds when we’ve told them to. They can eat in the car and we aren’t stopping for nursing babies or poopy diapers. Everyone can walk and mostly keep up. It’s just been really pleasant.
