Varsity

Beckett was called up to play on Varsity for play-offs. He has worked so hard and was pumped for the opportunity. In prepartions for playoffs, they let him dress down for the last game of the season. And turns out, they let him play. He only got in for a play, but he ran the ball eight yards. It was awesome! Love my football loving boys. 

 

Solo Hunt

 Tayden went on his first solo hunt. Meaning no parents were in attendence. Just him and his buddy, River. They went to Salmon and even though the plan was to get River a deer, Tayden walked away with his tag filled. Tayden had so much fun, and given his broke collar bone, its exactly what he needed. 

He brought the deer home, and Scott showed him how to process it. He was a part of every step, start to finish. It was really neat to see hunting come full circle for him. From learning  from Scott and his grandpa, to going on his own. This boyw was born to be outside. 

Homewor Club 2

My heart was so full watching Beckett help Kyle with his homework. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it doesn't go unnoticed. 

 

Homework Club

The other night, everyone had homework. And nobody was happy about it. So, I declared it our first homework club. I made cookies and we all worked on our homework. It was actually the best memory. Its been months since we've all been home in the evening and being with everyone felt like a dream come true. Even if Tayden and Beckett we're less than thrilled about their homework, they emjoyed the night as much as I did. 

 

Lunch with Beckett

Last Monday, everyone was hunting except Beckett and I. Beckett had football practice and I had to work. So I texted him to see if he wanted to go to lunch. Luckily for me, he did. He even drove me there. Love this boy!

 

Cache is 13

I officially have three teenagers! Cache is 13. His birthday was on Sunday, so it was a pretty low key day. We delivered pizza to school the Friday before, during his lunch period, to share with friends. Other than that, it was pretty chill. 

We love our Cachee Boy. He is growing like a weed. I'm sure he'll surpass me in height within the year. Puperty has hit him like a brick wall. His voice is deep, he has spots of acne, and is tall and lanky. He is really growing into himself and doing well in middle school. He still loves Taekwondo and reading. And of course spiders, though the obsession is waning. 

We're grateful for this boy. He is such a joy and a critical part of our family. I couldn't imaagine life without his random facts, the silly antics, and contagious laugh. He is one of kind and I am so blessed to call him mine. 

 

Salmon

 Tayden took an epic trip over the summer with his friends to Salmon. They hopped between two cabins, fished, hiked, and spent the a night under the stars. I was so nervous to let him go, but I know I have to let him grow up. Soon enough, he'll be out on his own, and keeping him here would only hold him back. So we let him go and he had a blast. And came back in one piece, which is even better!
